INSPIRING PERFORMANCES: A musical evening celebrating the works of world famous composers, by LORRAINE MUSIC ACADEMY and the  AUSTRIAN EMBASSY, was held at Epicentre, Gurgaon recently. Artistes MARIALENA FERNANDES and RANKO MARKOVIC left the audience talking about their performance. SURESH CHOPRA, former director general, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, inaugurated the event. “I absolutely love listening to the piano and it’s an event worth waiting for.”
WALTZ, TOO: The evening saw LORRAINE FIONA ALOYSIUS, creative director and principal, Lorraine Music Academy, and Markovic, artistic director, Konservatorium Wien University, Vienna do an impromptu Waltz. Fernandes, professor of chamber music, University for Music & Performing Arts, Vienna, credited her mother for being an inspiration through her music career.  “I’m playing the piano since the age of 2, and my love for music brings me back to India.” The pianists’ performances left Shaheen Bhatnagar from Sector 57, Gurgaon amazed, and she said, “I love listening to music, and my son is learning how to play the piano. It’s very inspiring for him.”
