Lorraine Music Academy celebrated the Independence Day at Epicentre Auditorium recently. Titled “Come India Sing Jana Gana Mana” the concert witnessed musicians and students of academy and schools across the National Capital Region.

They sang, played musical instruments, and staged dance performances.

Some of the songs included “Vande Mataram”, “Woh Din Hai Kitna Door”, “Azad Huan Aaj Ke Din Desh Hamaara”, “Bharat Mata Teri Kasam”, “Galat Mat Kadam Uthao”, “Chaumasyo Laagyo Re”, “Bharat Mata Teri Kasam”, “Maa Tujhe Salaam”, among many others.

The Celebration also included a brief workshop embedded in the concert to educate and encourage the audience to abide by the Constitution of India and respect its ideals and institutions, the National Flag and the National Anthem. This included an explanation and training on the proper singing of the National Anthem as per the code as laid out in the Constitution – in the right rhythm, melody and timing.
