GURGAON GEARS UP FOR CHILDREN’S DAY

Storytelling sessions, musical shows and talent hunts – Gurgaon is going all out to celebrate Children’s Day.

Over time, Children’s Day has become just another day in the calendar for many. But in Gurgaon, there is a lot that you can do with your kids on their special day. The celebrations start from today, with a special event being organised in the memory of Jawaharlal Nehru, and go on till Thursday, which is also a holiday for many for Muharram.

REMEMBERING CHACHA NEHRU WITH MUSIC
Organised by the Lorraine Music Academy in aid of the LAMP Trust foundation, this event will see participation from kids of all age groups for dance, music and theatre performances. There will also be speeches on the theme, Remembering Chacha Nehru, highlighting the background of Children’s Day and the reasons behind its celebration. The event, which is being held at the Epicentre today evening, will also have the audience getting together to sing the national anthem as part of the national project, Come India Sing.
